I was fortunate enough to be raised in the beautiful back-country of Northern Wisconsin and to have been shaped by nature and a kind community. After finishing my high school education there, I set out with a strong foundation to travel and absorb, throwing myself into cultures of all origins.

From Barcelona and Andalusia to Machu Picchu and Costa Rica, my appreciation and fascination for other cultures grew. Later I continued my exploration "at home" in Madison, Wisconsin and Santa Rosa, California. Throughout my studies and travels, I continued sketching and painting, always feeling that I could document something much more accurately with a paintbrush than with a camera.

I now reside in Northern California and am positioned as an AmeriCorps volunteer. Although this position encapsulates part of my passion (service and social justice), the other part, creating art, remains for me to pursue independently. I love to work with people and develop the perfect piece of art for them. I learn so much from their opinions and ideas, and love collaborating to make a masterpiece!
